Duvnaya Goduna marks a new beginning in the work of Ukrainian sound producer The Lazy Jesus. In his project UA TRIBAL, he skillfully combines his passion for broken rhythms with Ukrainian folklore, immersing his love for cutting-edge electronica into Ukrainian musical roots. This has taken on a whole new meaning and significance in the turbulent war times that have engulfed the country.

This track is part of an upcoming album which was written in the fall of 2022 in Kyiv, while air-raid sirens were sounding. Each note and each beat, processed through the filter of reality, sounds like a response to the difficult situation the country found itself in.

Duvnaya Goduna is based on the fragment of the Ukrainian folk song "Strange hour all over the world has become", which maximally conveys the mood in which this material was created.

The release is accompanied by an video created by Kyiv illustrator Yevheniia Vynokurova, aka Magistr Magii, who is also VJing on the project's live performances. Magistr Magii's music video neatly brings to the screens what The Lazy Jesus created in his music, each illustration bringing Ukrainian symbols and images to life, accompanying the rhythms of the UA TRIBAL project.
